Scope of work completed:

• 4no. shafts of 5.5m internal diameter and depths of up to 12m installed in saturated silty-sand ground conditions.
• Installation of 240m of 600mm sanitary sewer by Microtunnel using our Herrenknecht AVN600 MTBM with drive lengths ranging from 60m and 105m.
• Due to the ground conditions on site and the risk of future settlement in the area, 1m long pipes were specified for a section of the project.
• Both Hydraulic excavator clamshell and crane clamshell buckets were used to excavate due to the saturated ground conditions.
• Precast Manholes installed and benched inside temporary shafts on completion of tunnelling works.
